This Thursday marks “the last of April” (siste april) in Lund – known elsewhere as Valborgsmässoafton – and one of the most celebrated days of the student year.
As far as celebrations go, we at LUSEM just crowned the new faculty table tennis champions, Christian Jörgensen and Hanqing Wu, congratulations champs!
We would also like to highlight the upcoming Meetingpoint Ljusgården on 4 April at 11:45 in Ljusgården EC2, where Anna Tegunimataka will present her new report on poverty among children of foreign-born parents.

LUSEM Table Tennis Tournament: “It's a good meetingpoint!”
On 8 April, it was time for the the annual table tennis tournament at LUSEM, and this year also marked its 11th anniversary.
Kidney transplant programme saves lives, and tax payer money
Sweden's kidney exchange programme has been operational since 2018 and will soon be expanded to include the entire EU. The programme has meant that patients' previous waiting times of up to two years have been reduced to just six months.
The Puferndorf Institute is an incubator for new research ideas and invites proposals that are at a stage where they would not yet qualify for actual research funding.
