100 days of Trump – and what the researchers have to say about them
With Donald Trump’s second term in the White house, we have seen turmoil on the stock exchanges of the world, tariffs being presented, taken back and reintroduced, American claims on Greenland, Mexico and Canada, and chocking remarks by the president on Ukraine and Gaza. Amidst all of this, researchers at LUSEM have been kept busy, analysing, interpreting and giving their expert takes on the latest news.
For the autumn semester of 2025, more than 72,000 people applied to programmes at Lund University — and LUSEM continues to stand strong in the competition.

Classical music visualised with AI – by the Centre for Aesthetics and Business Creativity at LUSEM
In the research project OPERACTIVE, Alexandra Huang-Kokina, post doctoral fellow at the Centre for Aesthetics and Business Creativity (ABC) brings another dimension to her musical interpretation by using AI.
She wants to challenge audience participation and inclusive engagement within classical music and opera. The prompts she used reflect her own idea of the musical piece she is playing and the AI generated visuals accompany what we hear.
