Four leading players unite to strengthen Swedish Life Science
A strategic alliance has been formed between four key actors in research, education, healthcare, and innovation to enhance Sweden’s life science sector. The collaboration, coordinated by Medicon Village, includes LUSEM, Skånes universitetssjukhus (Skåne University Hospital) and AstraZeneca.

Sanne Frandsen, Associate Professor in Organization at LUSEM, was recently published in The Conversation, the world’s leading publisher of research-based news and analysis.
The article Sustainability ideals are often crushed by corporate demands. Here’s how businesses can let them flourish, explores a topic that has received significant attention in the meaningful work literature—calling as a work orientation, defined by a strong sense of purpose and a prosocial motivation that goes beyond personal gain. The article is based on a research study conducted with 57 sustainability managers in international companies across various industries and career levels in Sweden.

The upcoming ceremony where this will be officially celebrated is known as “promotion” in Swedish, from the Latin verb promovere, meaning to advance or to promote and the ceremony will take place on 23 May, 2025.
Great achievement by our students in international case competition
The John Molson MBA International Case Competition is a prestigious business case competition with teams from around the world, the world’s largest of its kind. During six days in January, 30 teams of highly skilled MBA students, gather in Montreal, Canada.
Lund Students’ Prize for Excellence in Teaching for 2025
Last year he was teacher of the year at LUSEM and now Björn Svensson is recognized by the university as a whole, alongside Per Carlsson at the department of Biology. The nomination highlights Björn’s pedagogical skills, his availability to students and of course his work on integrating generative AI into the informatics courses and programmes.
